Volunteer at the Gandhi-King Conference
The 2009 Gandhi-King Conference on Peacemaking is quickly approaching and we are going to have our most successful conference yet. But we need your help! Volunteers are needed to do everything from staffing tables to clearing plates and helping attendees.
In exchange for your sweat equity, you get in for FREE to this amazing event, we only ask that you volunteer for TWO of our three hour shifts. This is one of the ways we try and get folks with limited income into the conference.
There are a limited number of volunteer positions available at this year's conference. In order to reserve your spot we will need you to send an email to jacob@midsouthpeace.org with the following information.
1. Name, email, and contact number.
2. Times available to volunteer. Shifts available are:
Friday Oct. 23 :: 7-10am, 10am-1pm, 1pm-4pm, 5pm-8pm
Saturday Oct. 24 ::
7-10am, 10am-1pm, 1pm-4pm, 4pm-10pm (counts as two shifts, must have food service experience)
Sunday Oct. 25 :: 7-10am, 10am-1pm
Note: Since you must volunteer for TWO three hour shifts, the more time you are available, the more likely it will be we can accomodate your request. This is an application process, so not all requests can be honored however.
3. Specific skill sets and abilities. We need people with food service experience, A/V skills, customer service skills...etc. Please indicate if you have any special skills that would be of use to us.
Please note that there are a more limited number of volunteer positions available this year. You will recieve a confirmation email from us no less than one week prior to the conference to confirm your exact times and commitments.
